Madison, a charming suburban neighborhood, is located just 8 miles northeast of downtown Nashville TN and is incorporated as part of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County. Madison has a rich history that dates back 150 years. The area has grown more desirable over time, with its thriving community of various neighborhoods, 16 schools, and over 36 churches. Madison is part of the 14 communities that are in the Davidson County Community Plan. This plan is for addressing zoning and land use planning in areas slated for further development. Downtown Madison and Rivergate are the two major centers in the community and Madison is proud to be one of about 26 suburban neighborhoods of Nashville. 

There are many eateries to choose from in Madison with a wide array of delicious choices: from southern cuisine to Hispanic food. Garden Fresh Food Market is a must go with their onsite restaurant and grocery store. They carry fresh produce, a fantastic selection of groceries, including both Latin and American, and more. They are locally-owned-and-operated, which enables them to focus on the needs and wants of their customers without having to waste time within a corporate set-up. For a different flavor, try Sapporo! They have fantastic Japanese cuisine and very good lunch specials on rolls.  Their curry and udon are delicious too!

The Madison Chamber of Commerce keeps the city thriving by adding economic and civic value to the area. There are plenty of fun things to do for Madison residents. Madison hosts an annual Bluegrass Festival, which many people from around the Nashville area travel to attend. There are also beautiful public parks such as Cedar Hill Park and Madison Park, that residents and tourists enjoy. Some of the neighborhoods of Madison that border Old Hickory Lake offer residents the options of fishing, boating, swimming, etc.
