The Nashville neighborhood of West End, home of Vanderbilt University, is a quick 2 mile trip west of  Nashville’s downtown city center where you’ll find a bit of history, parks, drinks/dining and so much more! You don’t have to be involved with Vanderbilt to enjoy what this incredibly vibrant area has to offer. At the epicenter of West End Ave sits Centennial Park, home to a full scale replica of the Greek Parthenon. The Parthenon also serves as an art museum, featuring a 42-foot statue of Athena along with over 60 paintings from 19th and 20th century American artists. With plenty of landscapes to picnic, throw the frisbee, or hang a hammock near the pond, Centennial Park is fun for locals and tourists alike! Once you’ve taken in the twinkling lights of the city, turn around and find yourself marveling at the rolling hills of TN.
